ACCESS: Open Event and Course Piloting at Chronos Tutoring Center
On January 8, 2026, ETHOS HUB organised a second Open Event of the ACCESS project at Chronos Tutoring Center, continuing its dissemination and piloting activities in the field of inclusive education. The workshop, titled “Special Learning Difficulties: From Theory to Practice”, engaged educators in an interactive session focused on understanding and addressing learning difficulties within general education settings. A key part of the event was the presentation and piloting of the ACCESS e-learning course “ACCESS in learning difficulties”, developed to support primary school teachers in identifying and managing learning challenges in their classrooms.
The course provides structured, practical guidance and covers essential topics including:
- Introduction to Learning Difficulties
- Targeted strategies and exercises
- Tailored interventions
- Classroom management
- Collaboration with families
Participants had the opportunity to explore the course material, reflect on its relevance to their daily teaching practice, and contribute feedback as part of the piloting phase. This process is crucial for ensuring that the final course is practical, user-friendly, and adaptable to different educational contexts. The event also emphasized the need for early intervention and the role of educators in supporting students aged 6–10, especially in contexts where access to specialised support services may be limited.
The Open Event was completed successfully, strengthening collaboration with educators and reinforcing ETHOS HUB’s commitment to promoting inclusive education and supporting both teachers and learners.
The ACCESS Project is a targeted initiative aimed at improving early identification and support for children aged 6–10 with learning difficulties (LDs) such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Recognizing the growing prevalence of LDs and the importance of early intervention, ACCESS empowers primary school teachers with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to detect and manage emerging learning challenges within mainstream classrooms. The project also provides parents with practical guidance to support their children’s learning at home. By fostering strong collaboration between educators and families, ACCESS promotes inclusive education and strives to ensure every child has the opportunity to reach their full academic and social potential.
