FOCUS: Interviews of Foreign Language Teachers

In June 2024, Ethos Hub conducted interviews with three experienced English teachers as part of the Erasmus+ FOCUS project. The interviews explored the challenges and strategies used in teaching English to children with learning difficulties.

Each teacher shared their unique experiences and methods. Melina Laskaridou highlighted the value of “dramatised” sessions and storytelling to engage students with ADHD and ADD. Anastasia Charitidi emphasized that building trust between students and teachers is key to learning, while Maria Pappa advocated for respecting each student’s rhythm and using non-verbal tools to enhance phonological awareness.

The FOCUS project aims to enhance foreign language education for students with learning difficulties by providing teachers with innovative strategies and tools. These interviews contribute to this mission by offering valuable insights from the field. More at https://focus-project.eu/.
